The following photo is of the Wright/Waldron Fire Department in the early 1900's. The photo was received from the Waldron District Library "Heritage Room".
Early Fires in the Village of Waldron: 1. Big Waldron Fire in 1889, 21 Business's and 9 homes burn. 2. Fire of 1890, a waldron business burns. 3. Two Business's Burn in 1931.
Also the Seventh Day Adventist Church Fire on 10/23/2002 in Prattville

12-31 Fire Engine-Pumper

The 2004 Pumper is used in fighting fires, carrying hose, ladders, etc. It is also used in setting up a draft site for Fire Fighters to get water from such as a pond or lake. This truck is one of the most used trucks in fighting fires and responding to accidents as well as other emergency situations that may arise. The Wright/Waldron Fire Association purchased this new truck in 2004 replacing the old pumper 194.

12-52 Fire Rescue Truck

Fire-Rescue Truck 12-52, is commonly used to respond to accidents as well as fires, it carries a variety of emergency equipment to aid emergency personal for whatever situation may arise. It is also used to respond to medical calls when the ambulance 12-51 is not available, until another ambulance can respond from another department to aid victims.

12-62 Fire Tanker

12-62 is a 2000 gallon tanker used for fires of structure's, automobiles, grass fires or what ever type fire may arise that needs large amounts of water to bring the fire under control.

12-71 Fire Grass Truck

12-71 the Fire Grass Truck is used for fighting field fires, grass fires, or other off road type emergency's. The Truck may also be used for traffic control to block traffic from entering a emergency area.

12-51 Ambulance

12-51, the Ambulance is used for transporting patients to area hospitals from accidents or any type medical emergency. The Ambulance Service was started in Waldron in 1971 and is a very important asset to the community.

198 Fire Tanker
